2025 Service Sires
For our current group of 2025 Spring lambs, we used FFG 1347 "Say When" and HRS 23-708 "Caesar." They have produced an exceptional lamb crop. Several of these lambs will find their way to our keeper pen.
For the upcoming breeding season as well as potential fall lamb breeding, we have added BA-4421. "Long Haul." This guy possesses exceptional NSIP traits as well as solid overall muscling and structure. We are very eager to get him in with our ewes and see the results.
BA-4533 "Forced Entry"

We couldn't be any happier to introduce the new guy in town, Buckeye Acres 4533 "Forced Entry!" This guy is a powerhouse ram with a proven track record of producing excellent lambs. We acquired Forced Entry from Silas Gingerich during his most recent online auction. 4533 has great growth numbers and a very solid 104 hair index. Forced Entry will get right to work this august and not to wish time away but we can't wait to see the results come January!

BA-4421 "Long Haul"

This guy earned his name the hard way! He joined our farm in early January and had quite the ride. Two flats on the trailer and a mad dash to tractor supply 10 minutes before they closed and this guy finally made it to the farm. Thus earning the name, Long Haul! A massive shout out to the Green River Volunteer Fire Department in Zirconia NC. Without them we would have been waiting till the next morning for a tire and likely camping on the side of the road! BA-4421 has exceptional NSIP data, with all of this growth characteristics being within the 85th percentile. He also possesses a hair index value in the 80th percentile. But we all know its not just about the numbers! Long Haul possesses excellent muscle and bone structure to back all of his NSIP data. He will be on cleanup duty for any ewes not lambing this spring as well as breeding his own select group for ewes for spring lambs next season.

FFG 1347 "Say When"
Sticking with the Tombstone theme, this guy is affectionately know as Huckleberry or "Huck" around the farm. He was purchased last year from Grandpa's Farm online auction and made his way to Virginia, from Iowa in June of 2024. His paternal side is strong Smohalla Acres and Salmon Run show blood and his maternal side is Grandpa's farm pasture power. The first picture in the deck below is from the day he came off pasture after servicing 16 ewes. He has maintained himself extremely well and that speaks to the pasture power Grandpa's Farm talks about in their description. His lambs have been absolutely beautiful so far! We couldn't be any more pleased with the color and size he has put into his progeny! Unfortunately we lost Say When in December right before lambing began. We have decided to retain quite a few of his offspring as a result.
